Court orders pub owner to pay R80‚000 for using K-word

The South African Human Rights Commission has welcomed a Bloemfontein Equality Court judgment ordering a pub and grill owner to pay R80‚000 for racially offensive language towards a black customer. Patrick Prior was also ordered to make a written apology to Gilbert Makanda‚ a Zimbabwean national and a lecturer at the Central University of Technology‚ for using the k-word.
