City says stadium game plan a winner

The City of Cape Town is setting up a company to manage its stadium in Green Point, which continues to be a drain on the public purse. Built at a cost of R4.4-billion ahead of the 2010 soccer World Cup, the stadium has not been able to attract enough events to make a profit and sustain itself. It has been running at a loss of about R36-million a year.
