What does it take to write a pop song? After all, it is rarely more than three verses, a chorus and a hook. But publishing credits suggest that huge teams are involved in concocting even the most trite contemporary hit.The current number one single in the UK, Cheerleader by Jamaican vocalist Omi, is credited to five writers, two producers and a remixer.
