MTN and striking workers fail to connect on wage demands

Striking workers rejected MTN's compromise offer of an 8% annual bonus, double its original offer. But the Communication Workers' Union yesterday confirmed that it has revised its bonus demand to 12% from 16%.MTN and the union have been in negotiations throughout the weekend. MTN obtained a court order on Friday prohibiting strikers from blocking access to its offices and intimidating non-strikers.
