Presidency wishes Mac ‘a speedy recovery’

President Jacob Zuma on Wednesday “extended his good wishes” to his former spin doctor Mac Maharaj “who is unwell”. According to a Presidency statement‚ Maharaj was admitted to a hospital in Durban last Thursday where he underwent surgery for lung cancer.Although the procedure was said to be successful‚ complications arose post-operation‚ the Presidency said‚ and now a “team of highly competent doctors and staff are focusing on stabilising his condition”.
