Democratic Alliance leader Mmusi Maimane has criticised the government's Operation Fiela, urging tighter border controls instead. Maimane said the government needed to spend less on VIP protection for politicians and more on tightening borders."There are more security VIPs for politicians than there are on our borders," he told a cheering crowd yesterday in Mitchells Plain.
