The Tiki revival is becoming a mega-trend. From Canada to Kathmandu these rum cocktails in their grotesque tiki jars are back and promising a tropical escape. Tiki cocktails were invented in the 1930s by a Texan best known as Donn Beachcomber, born Ernest Raymond Beaumont Gantt. He left home in 1926 to see the world but only got as far as the South Pacific and Caribbean before discovering his life mission: rum.
