'Brainier' women need more sleep

Big news from the usually drowsy world of sleep science is that women are no good at sleeping. A recent UK study found that nearly one in five women had a bad night's sleep five days of the week, compared to only 8% of men.Jim Horne, the director of the Sleep Research Centre, at Loughborough University, UK, said that women need an extra 20 minutes of sleep a day compared to men - in part because women use their brain more during the day.
