Six perish after staircase collapses inside tavern

Eight young women died after the collapse of a staircase at a tavern in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, yesterday morning. Police said six of the victims died on the scene in Makhaza and two died on the way to hospital when the private vehicle they were in was involved in a crash."We've got eight fatalities in total.
