Water crisis needs R1bn, and prayers

KwaZulu-Natal needs a further R1-billion to deal with the worsening drought in the province, says Water Affairs Minister Nomvula Mokonyane. She said a "crisis" persisted despite recent unseasonal winter rainfall, and the national and provincial governments needed to intervene.Mokonyane visited various sites in the province yesterday as part of a fact-finding mission.
