Black Coffee mild roasts AKA

In 2015, turning the other cheek means starting a charity. This is what DJ Black Coffee has done following his online war with rapper AKA. After taking a twitter beating from the hip-hop artist, Black Coffee has released details of an organisation he will head that aims to develop young talent and support charities.Black Coffee, real name Nathi Maphumulo, tweeted at the weekend: "Now that's hip-hop . not this nonsense some of our local hip-hop artists do ... some even attacking tweeps ... Put in a song ... We want MUSIC."The tweet was in reference to Canadian rapper Drake releasing a track slamming Nicki Minaj's beau and fellow rapper, Meek Mill. This didn't sit too well with AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes. He slammed Maphumulo, saying he should stay in his lane as a DJ because he hadn't "laid one brick in the building of SA hip-hop".The DJ announced on social media that, instead of producing one hip-hop track, he would rather start a project called Music is the Answer. This will culminate in three young unsigned rappers teaming up with one established local artist to produce a song. The proceeds from the sale would go to a charity."Volunteers will be welcome. The purpose is to create a platform for everyone involved - this is a 'For us, by us' project ... This will change lives."This announcement was met with admiration on twitter - but AKA was silent.Black Coffee, a multi-award-winning record producer, is not only planning to release an album in September, he will also be in the world's party capital, Ibiza, for the DJ Awards. He said: "This is for all of us ... from my mouth to God. uMuntu wuMuntu ngaBantu [a person is a person because of other people]."..
