Veteran says coach Heyneke Meyer called him

France-based flanker Juan Smith has revealed that embattled Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer called him up at the beginning of the international season but his contract with Toulon prevented the move. Meyer has not hidden his admiration for the blindside flanker, despite an array of players like Teboho Mohoje, Siya Kolisi and Warren Whiteley begging for a regular place in the back row.
