Da Vinci cracks a smile

Late last week a 64-year-old man had his prostate removed. As he lay on the operating table with four thin pipes reaching into his body, the actual surgeon sat a few metres away staring at a 3D screen with his bloodless hands firmly on the controls.The "person" doing the cutting and stitching of the tissue inside the man's body was named Da Vinci, or, to give him his longer name, the Da Vinci Si HD robotic system.
