Which local celebrities would South Africans most like to be stranded on an island with? A recent survey conducted by BBC Earth found television presenter Jeannie D, Idols SA judge Gareth Cliff and DJ Fresh were voted as the best companions for a trip around the world.Researchers sampled 1004 people between the ages of 16 and 65 to celebrate the launch of the BBC Earth channel today.
