Deli Delight: A slice of th Big Apple

Even though I wouldn't want to live there, some days I miss New York, its energy, noise, culture. Perhaps most of all, I miss its food. On a recent visit, my favourite spot was the café recently opened by Russ & Daughters, a Jewish deli on the Lower East Side . What a classy joint. Propped up at the marble-topped bar, I tucked into scrambled eggs with lox and onion on rye, and pastrami-cured salmon on a pretzel.
