High court to rule on state's appeal in al-Bashir case

The high court in Pretoria will decide next week whether to grant the state leave to appeal the court’s finding that the government’s conduct was unconstitutional when it ignored a court order to arrest Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir. The International Criminal Court (ICC) has found that al-Bashir committed the crimes of genocide‚ crimes against humanity and war crimes in Darfur.
