Eldorado Park father in court for eleven-year-old daughter's rape

An Eldorado Park man accused of repeatedly raping his 11-year-old daughter appeared briefly in the Protea Magistrate's Court in Soweto on Tuesday. The 48-year-old man‚ who cannot be named to protect the identity of his daughter‚ faces several charges of rape.The case was postponed to next week for a date to be scheduled for a bail application.The man‚ who was arrested last week‚ remains in custody.A crowd of women from the African National Congress Women's League and the Community Work Programme protested outside court‚ singing freedom songs and holding placards with slogans such as “No to rape”...
