Frogs leg it under road

A French council has spent €65,000 on tunnels to help frogs cross a busy road in Brittany in order to reach ponds where they breed. Despite the Gallic appetite for frogs' legs sautéed in garlic, Vern-sur-Seiche, in Britanny, built five special passages under the D86 road to help prevent the amphibians from becoming roadkill.
