Durban winds whip up a frenzy

Strong winds battered the KwaZulu-Natal coast yesterday, uprooting trees, damaging yacht moorings and leaving injuries in its wake. In Durban, a woman working on the beach suffered a severe laceration to her head after she was struck by a pane of glass.According to Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha, the pane was dislodged from the roof of the beachfront toilets by the gusty wind.
