Down to No 75, how low can Bafana go?

Bafana Bafana have dropped another two places in the latest Fifa World Rankings released yesterday and are now positioned at No75 on the list. They are also the 18th-best side in Africa, a number they will want to improve on vastly before the draw is made for the pool stages of the Fifa World Cup qualifiers. That assumes, of course, they get past Angola in their two-leg preliminary round tie this month.The Angolans have themselves dropped a place in the latest list to No98 in the world and the 25th-best side in Africa.South Africa's three opponents in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers all fell as well - Cameroon are down three places to No51 in the world, Gambia dropped seven positions to No168 and Mauritania plummeted 15 places to 104th.Ivory Coast regained their place as the continent's leading side, having lost it to Algeria last year.They are 22nd in the world, ahead of Algeria, Ghana, Cape Verde Islands and Senegal in the top five in Africa. The rest of the top 10 is made up of Tunisia, Cameroon, Congo, Guinea and DR Congo.Belgium are the new leaders of the global list, confirming their meteoric rise in recent years, followed by Germany, Argentina, Portugal and Chile.
