Bill on provincial funds passed

Parliament yesterday passed the division of revenue bill, which decides the amounts of money given to provinces as part of the supplementary budget process. The bill was passed almost a week late after the ANC failed to have enough MPs in the National Assembly to pass it last week.This has held up the budget process and is expected to mean the parliamentary session will be extended by a week.
