A Malawian tourist rescued another tourist from Australia who fractured her leg during a tour of Table Mountain in Cape Town on Monday.

ER24 spokesperson Pieter Rossouw said the Australian tourist was fortunate that the Malawian men saw her and called for help.

She was airlifted by the Red Cross to ground level and was then assessed by ER24 paramedics.

After assessment, Russouw said their paramedics treated and transported the woman to Mediclinic Cape Town for further treatment.
