Athletics SA to be quizzed on action over president’s alleged misconduct

Athletics SA will have to tell the SA Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc) what it plans to do about a damning auditor's report that found its president, Aleck Skhosana, "unfit to hold any office in athletics structures in South Africa". The investigation was into fraud by two employees at KwaZulu-Natal Athletics from October 2009 to June 2011, when Skhosana was president, and potentially involved millions of rands.The investigation found that Skhosana was grossly negligent and that he failed to take action, despite allegedly knowing what was happening by June 2010.The report recommended that he be charged with gross misconduct.Sascoc's CEO, Tubby Reddy, said on Tuesday that he was sending a letter to ASA asking them to explain themselves...
