'Black Widow' confident of bail

"Black Widow" Thandi Maqubela, who is serving an 18-year sentence for killing her judge husband, is confident she will be home for Christmas. Maqubela applied for bail in the Cape Town High Court yesterday, pending her appeal to the Supreme Court of Appeal.Her advocate, Thomas Tyler, said she was not a flight risk and had "reasonable prospects (of) success on appeal".
