Cosatu takes up the cudgels for dismissed workers

The Congress of South African Trade Unions will step up its campaign to have imprisoned workers in Mpumalanga released and reinstated in their jobs. According to the federation‚ the workers embarked on a strike on November 4‚ demanding that their union be recognised by their employer. They were arrested on Monday after police attacked them during a crackdown.
