Sabotage and spying under investigation at South African Airways by the Hawks

The South African Police Service's Directorate of Priority Crimes Investigation (the Hawks) says it has been sanctioned to investigate illegal activities at South African Airways (SAA). The investigating team was mandated to "uncover the truth on the alleged theft‚ fraud and corruption involving contracts‚ agreements‚ tenders‚ procurement and irregular closure of SAA routes in Senegal‚ India and Beijing"‚ the National Head of the DPCI‚ Lieutenant General Mthandazo Ntlemeza‚ said in a statement.
