The wife of the late Constable Mbuyisela James Concoshi has been arrested in connection with his murder, the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks) said.

The Hawks said a 35-year-old woman, and three other suspects, aged 19, 30 and 34 years were arrested on Sunday.

The lifeless body of Constable Concoshi was found at the back seat of his car along the M4 road between Riebeeckstad and Thabong in the Free State last Monday.

“The Hawks’ Task Team that specialises in police killings hit the ground running in their quest to bring the perpetrators to justice and their pin-point investigations led to the arrests of the deceased’s wife and her three accomplices,” said the Hawks in a statement.

Constable Concoshi was stationed at Welkom Crime Prevention.

All four suspects will appear before the Welkom Magistrate’s Court on charges of murder.
