Hawks take fight on appeal

The Hawks will petition the Supreme Court of Appeal in an attempt to stop the unit's former KwaZulu-Natal head, Major-General Johan Booysen, from returning to work. Last week the Durban High Court denied the Hawks leave to appeal its decision to nullify Booysen' s suspension .Judge Anton van Zyl ruled that there was no prospect of a successful appeal against his November 18 overturning of the suspension of Booysen on the grounds of allegations of fraud.
