Young Proteas get Cricket World Cup title defence off to bad start

South Africa's Under-19 Cricket World Cup champions started their title defence disastrously yesterday, losing by 43 runs to hosts Bangladesh. A half-century by Nazmul Hossain Shanto steered Bangladesh to 240 and their bowlers defended the total with ease, despite a century by South Africa's opening batsman Liam Smith.
