Close eye on fire near Koeberg

A large fire near the Koeberg nuclear power plant in Cape Town was being monitored by firefighters last night after burning out of control for two days.The fire was brought under control on Wednesday night with the help of Eskom and Nature Conservation personnel.Firefighters were "damping down" burnt areas to prevent flames from flaring up again, said City of Cape Town mayoral committee member for safety and security JP Smith.
