The tide, it seems, has finally turned

For the first time this year we've had something to cheer about. Last week the JSE surged 6%, eradicating two months of losses accumulated since the beginning of January. We're still a few percentage points down from our April 2015 peaks, but, at least, we seemed to have checked the corrosive decline in sentiment that contributed to our market's worst calendar start in decades.
