Zuma urges safety on the roads over the Easter weekend

That was President Jacob Zuma’s good wish greeting to the people of South Africa on Thursday‚ ahead of the holiday weekend.“Easter is a very important time of holy worship and related devotions for the members of the Christian faith. It is also the hallowed period of Passover among the Jewish people‚” noted the Presidency in a statement.Zuma‚ who returned from a working visit to Lyon in France on Thursday morning‚ also called for caution on the roads."I urge all of you to take road safety seriously this weekend‚” said Zuma.The deaths on the road must stop. Drivers and pedestrians must obey the rules of the road.“Drivers should not drink and drive. They must use roadworthy vehicles‚ rest at reasonable intervals‚ be patient and considerate for other road users‚ observe the speed limits and arrive alive.”..
