Metrorail strike called off

Striking Metrorail workers in the Western Cape will temporarily abandon their industrial action after consulting with lawyers. The South African Transport and Allied Workers' Union (Satawu) had planned to embark on an indefinite strike yesterday over "poor management" of the Passenger Rail Agency of SA (Prasa) and the "blatant exploitation of workers".
