Watch: Twitter reacts to #Braam lion

A lion was reportedly spotted in Braamfontein last night, according to pictures on Twitter.

The lion apparently hit the streets at around 11pm, and has caused the hashtag #Braam to trend for more than seven hours.

One of the pictures shows the lion climbing onto the boot of a stationary vehicle just outside the local Nando's.

Some social media users believe the lion was part of a movie that was being shot in the city - presumably late at night so as to not interfere with traffic.

Times LIVE phones the Lion Park, and they confirmed that the lion was in fact one of theirs, and part of a production that was filming in Braamfontein.
