Banking ombudsman dealt with 500 more cases last year than in 2014

The Ombudsman for Banking Services received 500 more cases from disgruntled bank customers last year than it did in 2014‚ but complaints regarding ATMs still comprised the biggest category of enquiries. While complaints regarding ATMs comprised 1‚530 cases that the ombudsman dealt with‚ complaints regarding internet banking were a distant second with 752‚ followed by 409 complaints regarding mortgage finance‚ 361 for personal loans‚ 310 for credit cards and 281 for current accounts.
