March CPI slows to 6.3 percent year-on-year

South Africa's headline consumer inflation slowed to 6.3 percent year-on-year in March, in line with forecasts, from 7 percent in February, data from Statistics South Africa showed on Wednesday. Headline consumer inflation slowed sharply as expected in March, data showed on Wednesday, pulled down mainly by a drop in the price of petrol.
