SARS officials make R58 million heroin bust at border post

The South African Revenue Service on Friday announced that it had seized heroin with an estimated value of R58-million at the Lebombo border post. A statement said the customs officials stopped an Opel Corsa entering South Africa from Mozambique for a routine check on Wednesday night and “found 58 plastic bags containing a white substance hidden within the vehicle’s panels”.
