Boost for reading as Gauteng pledges cash for libraries

The Gauteng Department of Sport‚ Arts‚ Culture and Recreation will be spending millions of rand to upgrade libraries and to build new ones across the province. The department on Thursday presented its plans for the 2016/17 financial year before the portfolio committee overseeing its performance.Three new libraries will be built at a cost of R69.
