A few years ago someone encouraged me to write a "South African Harry Potter". I didn't, partly because I didn't want to get sued and partly because I didn't think anybody would want to read about a school where young witches and wizards need to get only 30% of their spells right.The gigantic success of Game of Thrones, however, has got me thinking.
