The Constitutional Court will today hear an urgent application by the Electoral Commission of SA (IEC), to clarify its earlier judgment on disputed by-elections in Tlokwe, North West province. The Tlokwe dispute involves about 4,000 addresses. A group of independent councillors took the IEC to court because the addresses could not be verified, casting doubt on the validity of the municipal by-elections held there.
