Rabies kills jackals in Joburg

Two wild jackals have died from rabies in Muldersdrift, north of Johannesburg. National Institute for Communicable Diseases deputy director Lucille Blumberg said one jackal acted tame as a result of the rabies and entered a Muldersdrift hotel. The person who touched it was given preventative treatment in time and is fine.
