Cops observed taking R5,000 bribe from suspect: Hawks

Three police officers and a police reservist who allegedly took R5,000 from a suspect they’d arrested for drugs were reportedly unaware they were being watched by Crime Intelligence members.That’s according to the Hawks in KwaZulu-Natal‚ who said the quartet “were released on R500 bail each when they appeared before the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate’s Court following their arrest for corruption along the Berg Street‚ Pietermaritzburg on Tuesday night”.
