Boipatong massacre remembered 24 years on

Families‚ friends and government officials gathered at the Vuka Cemetery in Sedibeng to place wreaths on the graves of victims during the 24th anniversary commemoration of the Boipatong massacre. The commemoration honoured the 39 people who were brutally killed in 1992 when residents of KwaMadala hostel near Vanderbijlpark attacked the Joe Slovo informal settlement community members on the eve of South Africa's democracy.
