Orlando Pirates have begun their off-season shopping in earnest after the Soweto club completed the signing of Abbubaker Mobara and Riyaad Norodien from Ajax Cape Town yesterday. Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza also confirmed the signing of Ghanaian forward Bernard Morrison from Congolese side AS Vita.Mobara, 22, is currently with the Bafana Bafana squad in Namibia and Khoza said negotiations with the defender would be wrapped up when the national team returns to South Africa at the end of the Cosafa Cup."We have been given the go-ahead to make contact with both players (Mobara and Norodien) and finalise personal terms," Khoza said."Obviously, with someone like Mobara currently in Namibia with the South African national team, we will only be able to finalise with him and his representatives when he returns from international duty. However, we will be finalising soon with Norodien."With regard to Morrison, Khoza said an agreement had been reached and signed after a revised offer was sent to AS Vita. "We are happy with this acquisition and trust that Morrison will have a successful stay at the club."Khoza confirmed that the arrival of new faces at Pirates would necessitate the exit of several players who would be deemed surplus to requirements."The club will be making an announcement next week regarding the players who will be released," he said.
