Councillor‚ fake employee bust for alleged tender fraud

A councillor and a fake Department of Public Works employee have been arrested in North West in connection with R34‚000 tender fraud. Morena Soato‚ 32‚ was arrested by the Hawks on June 22 following a plan to allegedly scam a 46-year-old woman who in December 2015 was awarded a R4.9 million tender by the Department of Public Works in the North West to renovate schools in Bloemhof.
