Soweto trio bust for drug trafficking in Eastern Cape

A sting operation by members of the Hawks‚ Crime Intelligence and K9 has led to the arrest of three Soweto men‚ who were caught with Mandrax. Early Tuesday morning‚ police said the joint team intercepted a Nissan bakkie in Uitenhage‚ Eastern Cape‚ loaded with approximately 15‚200 mandrax tablets‚ with a street value of approximately R760‚000."The drugs were found hidden in the vehicle’s false compartments."The suspects aged 33‚ 34‚ 51‚ believed to be from Soweto‚ were allegedly apparently on their way to Port Elizabeth to deliver the tablets.They are expected to appear in the Uitenhage Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday on drug related charges...
