Discovery says sorry for setting the bar too high

Discovery has announced significant changes to its Active Rewards programme following complaints from members. "We have recognised to a large degree that what we put in place in April certainly frustrated and upset a portion of our members. For that we are incredibly sorry," the head of Discovery Vitality Wellness, Craig Nossel, said yesterday.Nossel said the changes would take effect from August 20. This would be the second points system introduced since Active Rewards was rolled out in September."The first points barrier was too high so we lost some people or didn't engage them sufficiently," said Nossel."Our intention is always to motivate people to exercise, to get them to be healthy. We want people to be healthy and we want them to be motivated and we lost some of that, to be honest," said Nossel.He said there would no longer be a one-size-fits-all system. Instead, there will be three categories.These changes, said Nossel, made the system much fairer and would deal with many of the concerns.Anton Bosman, who started the "Discovery Vitality Disgruntled Clients" Facebook group said the changes were a step in the right direction...
