Fundraising drive to repair gutted university auditorium

University of Johannesburg alumni have so far pledged more than R30,000 to help repair the auditorium on the institution's Kingsway campus. The venue was gutted by fire in May, causing an estimated R100-million damage. Computer labs above the auditorium were also affected.Former student Advocate Cassie Badenhorst SC last month started a fundraising drive and urged other alumni to pledge towards the initiative.
