Montecasino takes flak for insensitive handling of suicide

Business continues as usual‚ Montecasino told patrons this afternoon after a man killed himself on the premises‚ raising the ire of South Africans who expected a greater degree of sensitivity.

The man set himself alight at the entrance‚ before the security checkpoint. It is believed he used petrol‚ but the circumstances are unclear.Montecasino management confirmed the incident‚ calling it a possible suicide. Casino management said police were called to investigate. Social media however took umbrage at the way the insident was handled on social media. The tweet below has since been deleted from the official account: Some recommended a course in communications:Oh dear.
