Reports of people in distress offshore of Hermanus shrouded in mystery

Sea rescuers are baffled by alleged eyewitness reports on Saturday evening of people in distress offshore of Hermanus in the southern Cape on Saturday evening. “Eyewitnesses suspected seeing at least two people in the rough sea swells just off-shore of Palmiet and it appeared that one person was holding onto a torch‚” said National Sea Rescue Institute station commander for Hermanus‚ Deon Langenhoven.
